Best time to breed...

Important to remember:

    • When bred, cows should have calved at least 50 days before and heifers should be 13 to 15 months old.
    • The best time for heat detection is early in the morning and in the evening.
    • The most common mistake is breeding too soon.
    • As a rule of thumb, a cow that is “coming into heat” should not be bred within the next 24 hours, whereas the one that accepts to be mounted in the morning should be bred in the afternoon of the same day.
