Ferme Lehmann, An Innovative Organic Farm!
On July 15, CIAQ took part in the Club Brown Swiss du Québec picnic held at Ferme Lehmann.
The farm owners showed their passion for nature and innovation by displaying their use of green technologies, such as solar energy, a specific hay-drying technique and facilities that recycle cow urine and manure into compost.
We discovered a beautiful farm in harmony with nature where family members are involved in everything from cow caring to the operation of the cheese-making facility, renowned for its three award-winning cheeses: Pikauba, Valbert and Kénogami.
