Among the services offered to breeders, CIAQ provides ProGen, a state-of-the-art program that recommends the top dairy sires for each cow and heifer while allowing the inbreeding level of the matings to be controlled. ProGen can meet the needs of the breeders, regardless of their breeding philosophy, because CIAQ's advisors can personalize the recommendations according to the strategy of each herd.

The Young Sire Proving Program (PEP) aims at identifying the genetic potential of dairy sires. They are purchased by The Semex Alliance team of sire analysts according to the balanced breeding philosophy. More than 5000 breeders participate in the sampling of young sires in Québec and Nova Scotia. This collaboration between breeders and experts ensures that the Canadian proofs of the evaluated sires are among the most reliable in the world.

As for beef sires, in order to encourage the highest number of cow-calf breeders to use artificial insemination, two programs were implemented : discount on the semen price and allowance for heat synchronization.
