With its PEP program, CIAQ offers each year to Québec breeders a large variety of young sires with high genetic potential backed by diversified pedigrees. They are selected from cow families that have shown their ability to transmit the best combination of production, type and longevity in order to maximise the profitability of their herds.

The judicious use of semen from proven sires combined with young sire semen guarantees optimum genetic gains for the years to come. Also, by collaborating in the testing program, breeders can benefit from interesting discounts on the price of proven sire semen.

Please note that the list of sires appearing in this page will be regularly updated in order to reflect the accurate situation of young sires presently being sampled.

 On The Semex Alliance's web site, you will find the list of almost 1500 Holstein young sires on the sampling program that will get a proof in 3 1/2 years. This list will be up-dated every three months.
