Ovulation synchronization
A highly effective protocol

Thanks to CIDR, a vaginal device containing progesterone, synchronization of ovulation is now obtained more accurately than in the past, which translates into much higher pregnancy rates (up to 70-75 %).

Finally, we take this opportunity to remind you the three basic rules concerning any synchronization program

1.

Body condition must be adequate (thin animals will lower the results).

2.

Your heifers must be at least 14 months old when they are A.I.'d.

3. Your cows must be around 60 days after calving at breeding time.

An offer for Québec cow-calf breeders you won't want to miss!

For the year 2007, we will re-inseminate - without any cost from your part - any beef female seen in heat within 30 days after fixed-time A.I. where CIDR was used to synchronize ovulations. The terms of this promotion are :

- Only Québec cow-calf breeders are eligible.
- Fixed-time A.I. must have been previously performed by a CIAQ A.I. technician or an authorized distributor and semen used must have been from bulls marketed by CIAQ.
- Replacement semen will come from the CIAQ 2007 beef sire catalogue and will be subject to its availability in the technician tank at the time of repeat services.

By this offer, we want to offer the kind of guarantee many of you have asked for. We hope it will be your opportunity to give fixed-time A.I. a try.

For more details, do not hesitate to contact your veterinarian, your A.I. technician or the CIAQ staff covering your area.
