2009 CANADA-AUSTRALIA YOUNG ADULT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
SPONSORED BY SEMEX ALLIANCE & HOLSTEIN CANADA
The Semex Alliance, partly owned by CIAQ, along with Holstein Canada and the Victorian Branch of the Holstein-Friesian Association of Australia have joined together once again this year to sponsor the 2009 Youth Exchange program between the two countries. Pierre-Luc Perreault from Saint-Alexis de Montcalm, Québec, was the young adult selected last year.
This program offers exciting travel and educational opportunities for young Canadian and Australian dairy enthusiasts. Recipients will spend approximately three months working on leading Holstein farms and artificial breeding centres in their respective host countries. The trip begins in January 2009 at Australia's International Dairy Week and continues through March 2009.
The Canada-Australia Youth Exchange is opened to anyone between 18 and 25 years of age working in the Canadian or Victorian dairy industry.
Applications (pdf file - 130 kb) for the Youth Exchange are due July 1, 2008.
The successful candidate will be contacted in August and publicly announced at the 2008 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in November.
